You’d think the media and the left would get over Sarah Palin. The election’s over and she’s back to being Governor of Alaska. Yet they just can’t help themselves. It must be that she remains so popular, they feel the need to keep getting their digs in. They’ve transferred Bush Derangement Syndrome to Sarah Palin.
According to NewsBusters “Chris Matthews actually praised Sarah Palin for her ability to draw a crowd and even pegged her as the early frontrunner for the GOP nod in 2012, ‘Who’s gonna beat her?’ However the MSNBC host, later admitted giving Palin that much credit took a lot out of him as he confessed to a guest panelist: ‘This is really hard to do this, to salute Sarah Palin.”
Then Ed Rendell, at the governors’ convention said “Look, she has a right to be here,” Rendell said. “I think she has great instincts. She’s not a genius, but she has very good political instincts.” Read full story.
Of course she had a right to be at the governors’ convention-she’s a governor! And Ed Rendell’s one to talk about being a genius and political instincts. Give me a break. The problem they have is that Sarah Palin is refreshing and she energizes the Republican base, something no one else has been able do in quite a while. Look what she did for Saxby Chambliss.
If she never runs on a Presidential ticket again, the woman is still someone to be reckoned with. Even Oprah seems to recognize that. After snubbing Palin during the campaign, now Oprah’s whining because Sarah Palin hasn’t agreed to an interview. Good for Sarah!
