Do the Winds of Change Blow Cold?
If you are an American and you are just so fed up with politics and the economy this year you may be inclined to stay home on November 4th and rent a movie. I can share your feelings about the state of the nation in many ways. What we should all do is take a deep breath, get out the family album and enjoy a few minutes of fond memories.
Once you’ve had the chance to shake off the hype and spin take stock in the things going on out there that don’t have to do with the candidates and their campaigns directly. Ask yourself what effect the presidential race is having on the country, your workplace, your neighbors and ask what we may have to look forward to in the next four years.
You don’t have to look too far. Just this past week we bore witness to an unrelenting attack on a fellow human being. What did he do? He asked a question. What was so bad about that? You be the judge. Think about it. Could it happen to you? What if you don’t want that new interchange in your neighborhood, or are unhappy with a school board decision?
