The Dow dropped almost 700 points today. Will George Stephanopoulos attribute it to Barack Obama’s press conference this morning? Oh come on, you know that’s funny!

Is it just me, or does it make anyone else nervous that Barney Frank will have a role in the Fannie/Freddie makeover? As a mom, I’m all for cleaning up our own messes, but come on!

When Hillary spoke earlier at Barack Obama’s news conference, she expressed that the decision to leave her job as a NY Senator was a tough one. I found that odd, since she’s been trying to leave her job for several years now.

While Americans line up at food pantries, Barack Obama ordered a $30,000 ring for wife, Michelle. I wonder why he couldn’t find an American jeweler from which to make such a grand purchase.

Bill O’Reilly’s talking points from tonight was about the auto companies begging for our money from Congress. He showed a video of Mitt Romney explaining why a bailout is a bad idea and then Barney Frank (about one minute or so into the video) saying he supports giving our money to the US auto industry because of “income inequality”. I forgot to change the channel after the local news ended and ABC News came on. They gave a little recap of the bailout hearing today in Congress. Of course they showed clips of Democrats like Maxine Waters and Barney Frank whining about how the bailout isn’t helping. I laughed out loud, and found it especially amusing that ABC News couldn’t find it in their hearts to allow the truth of the financial crisis to see the light of day. As a refresher, it was the housing crisis that sent the house of cards tumbling down. The housing crisis was caused when banks were forced to give mortgage loans to people who weren’t credit worthy. So the banks and other financial institutions made lemonade out of the lemons dealt to them by our government. Some (Republicans) tried to do something about this ponzi scheme, but Maxine Waters, Barney Frank and other Democrats led the charge to keep it going. If you don’t believe me watch this video.

Now, not only are these idiots going to be left in charge of “bailing out” our financial system, they’ve increased their numbers. But hey, America has spoken. Apparently, incompetence, idiocy and corruption are all the rage these days.

Why vote for Dan Maffei, or any Democrat for Congress for that matter? Let me count the reasons!

1-You despise the First Amendment to the Constitution and want free speech wiped out with the Fairness Doctrine. You also despise the Second Amendment. Only criminals should have guns.

2-You believe the Constitution is a living, breathing document and you hope someone finally kills it once and for all.

3-You don’t believe employees have the right to a secret ballot when deciding on unionizing. You prefer that thugs show up at employees’ doors and make them sign a card. Read the rest of this entry »

Barney Frank says this is the time for an immediate increase in spending and there should be tax increases. In fact, he thinks there are plenty of rich people we can tax to pay for the spending! He doesn’t give a definition of ‘rich’.

I can’t help but wonder if the large Wall Street sell off is a reaction, at least in part, to the polls. Every day we hear Barack Obama and Democrats in general are up in the polls stocks take a nose dive.

In Politico’s Arena, Leon Panetta called George Bush AWOL on the economy. These Democrats have such short memories.

Who was AWOL in 2003 when President Bush called on Congress to pass legislation to better oversee the dealings of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac? Who was AWOL in 2006 when Senator McCain gave a speech on the same subject?

Where was Senator Clinton? Senator Obama? Nancy Pelosi? Harry Reid? Barney Frank? I’ll tell you where, they were in Fannie and Freddie’s pockets, in the name of “housing for the poor”. That’s where they were!

I wouldn’t blame President Bush if he pulls a John Galt and just walks away. Why shouldn’t he? He’s gotten nothing but grief and partisan games from Democrats since the day he took office. It’s only gotten worse since 2006.

America-you wanted change. You got it in 2006 when you turned the House and the Senate over to the Democrats. How is that working out? You want more of that kind of change? If that’s the case Atlas has already shrugged.
