Yep, Obama’s A Socialist - UPDATED

Posted by Lonely Conservative On December - 9 - 2008 6 COMMENTS

Saturday Barack Obama released his video, promising massive Federal spending like most of us haven’t seen in our lifetime.  He promised lots of goodies, like internet access in every living room. What he didn’t mention is how he plans to pay for his big splurge. Read the rest of this entry »

If we get rid of God, who do we worship?

Posted by Lonely Conservative On December - 3 - 2008 4 COMMENTS

This morning I listened to a little bit of Glenn Beck on the radio. He opened the segment by talking about how we’ve chased God out of our lives. He made the point that our system of government was based on man’s rights coming from God and that the government was put in place to protect those rights. Today our system of government doesn’t seem to be based on anything.

He introduced Senator Jim DeMint (SC) to talk about the new capitol visitor’s center, which, naturally, was almost $700 million over budget. Senator DeMint said that any references to God in our nation’s history were intentionally omitted from any of the displays at the center. They even carved in a marble column that our nation’s motto is “E Pluribus Unum”, which is a lie. Our national motto is “In God we trust”.

The visitors center has a large engraving that says “We have built no temple but the Capitol. We consult no common Oracle but the Consitution.” Whether any of our lawmakers consult the Constitution anymore is debatable. Read the rest of this entry »

Barney Frank is a Moron

Posted by Lonely Conservative On November - 19 - 2008 7 COMMENTS

Bill O’Reilly’s talking points from tonight was about the auto companies begging for our money from Congress. He showed a video of Mitt Romney explaining why a bailout is a bad idea and then Barney Frank (about one minute or so into the video) saying he supports giving our money to the US auto industry because of “income inequality”. Spreading the Wealth vs. American Exceptionalism

Posted by Lonely Conservative On November - 17 - 2008 1 COMMENT

The election is over and Barack Obama is going to be the 44th President of the United States of America. With any luck, he understands that the election result wasn’t about spreading the wealth or turning America down a more socialist path.

At a campaign event Barack Obama accused those who don’t want to ”spread the wealth” of being selfish. Naturally, nobody in the main stream media questioned such a statement. There was no analysis because they accept the premise. If you are not happy to pay more of your income so it can be given to others they believe you are selfish.

But what of the recipient of the products of the labor of another? Isn’t that person selfish? How is that person morally superior to the producer?

The “spread the wealth” system removes the incentive for both parties. Whatever you call it - socialism, communism, Marxism - it’s been tried time and again, with results ranging from suppression (of ideas, innovation, progress) to horror and democide.

American exceptionalism is not the product of equalization of outcomes, quite the contrary. American exceptionalism is the result of freedom, the freedom not only to succeed but also to fail. Let’s hope our President elect gets the message. You can send him the message by clicking here.

Dems want to Nationalize Auto Companies

Posted by Lonely Conservative On November - 13 - 2008 7 COMMENTS

Democrats are now pushing for a government ownership stake in the US auto companies, in exchange for a $25 billion bailout package. Read Story. As if the Democrats in government, who are in the back pockets of the unions, will somehow manage to make these companies profitable.

They’re trying to scare us, like they did before the other bailouts that haven’t worked. This time they want us, the taxpayers, to bailout an industry that’s failing, in part because they’ve made such bad deals with unions. How many people in America with no college degree make $70K a year with a full pension? There aren’t many that I know of. But we’ll get to fund those nice little perks.

Where will it end? Nationalizing banks, insurance companies, airlines? Welcome to the USSA, comrades!

Obama’s Healthcare Plans - DeJa Vu

Think the economy is the only issue in this election, think again. So many socialized medicine advocates tout “preventive medicine” ad the great equalizer for medical costs. Here is an example of preventive medicine to go along with preventing the treatment and preventing the testing called preventive immigration.

I’ve written about socialized medicine here in the U.K. with cases such as the man refused treatment because he didn’t have the survival percentage, dentists cheating the government and their patients, and preventive medicine decisions that delay the age at which women can have breast cancer screening. Now a very personalized and eye opening AP story coming out of Australia.

SYDNEY, Australia (AP) – Thirteen-year-old Lukas Moeller has Down syndrome. His father is a doctor who came to Australia from Germany to help fill a shortage of physicians in rural communities.

But now Australia has rejected Dr. Bernhard Moeller’s application for residency, saying Lukas does not meet the “health requirement” and would pose a burden on taxpayers for his medical care, education and other services.

America - Are you finally waking up?

Posted by Lonely Conservative On October - 31 - 2008 2 COMMENTS

Barack Obama has enjoyed a nice lead in the polls for quite some time. He’s been the ultimate stealth candidate. But his slips, and those of his surrogates seem to be catching up to him. Tonight’s headline on Drudge Report is giving those of us on the right a sigh of relief.

ZOGBY SATURDAY: McCain outpolled Obama 48% to 47% in Friday, one day, polling. He is beginning to cut into Obama’s lead among independents, is now leading among blue collar voters, has strengthened his lead among investors and among men, and is walloping Obama among NASCAR voters. Joe the Plumber may get his license after all…

America, I know you’re busy. So am I. But this is the most important election in any of our lifetimes.

Is the American political system a mess? Yes! Absolutely! But are we going to turn our country over to the most liberal politician in America today, with no reigns? Please, for the sake of our children, let the answer be “no!” Just say no!

Let’s start paying attention. Let’s hold our politicians accountable. John McCain promised to name names, and if he doesn’t we’ll hold his feet to the fire. But please, America, think about what you are doing when you step into the voting booth on Tuesday. This is not an issue of Democrat vs. Republican. This is an issue of freedom vs. servitude.

Obama - Your true intentions are showing!

The Obama campaign has been pushing hard for early voting. Why is that? Could it be that every day Obama, Biden and their surrogates leak a little more about what life will be like under an Obama administration?

Joe Biden warned us that our enemies in the world will test Barack Obama and Obama’s response will be wildly unpopular. He’s also lowered the bar for middle class, it was $250,000, then $200,000 and last week it was $150,000.

Bill Richardson just told us “What Obama wants to do is he is basically looking at $120,000 and under among those that are in the middle class, and there is a tax cut for those.” How low will it go?

Barack Obama has said he wants to spread the wealth around, but now he’s trying to lower expectations of the masses, since any idiot knows life will not improve for Americans under Barack Obama.

The most telling of all of the slip ups of Obama surrogates came from Rep. Marcy Kaptur (watch video) when she introduced Senator Obama at a campaign rally. She said we will have a second Bill of Rights. For this gang the first Bill of Rights wasn’t good enough. Read the rest of this entry »

If this doesn’t scare you I don’t know what will

Posted by Lonely Conservative On October - 31 - 2008 6 COMMENTS

If you only have time to read one thing between now and election day, I urge you….make that beg you, to read The Cloward-Piven Strategy, Part III: Conspiracy of the Lemmings by Jim Simpson. It’s a bit long so print it and read it at your liesure. It’s far scarier than any movie you may watch this Halloween.

By now you’ve heard about Barack Obama’s past associations, but if you haven’t been following closely you may not know the significance of those associations or why it’s so important for the American people to know this information. Simpson has again tied everything together for you. Read the article. If you have doubts click on the many links he’s provided backing up his assertions.

This election may well be the most important in our nation’s history. An Obama presidency could not come at a worse time. The world economy stands on the edge of an abyss. If enacted, Obama’s socialist class warfare economic policies will push it right over the edge and we could see the nightmare scenario outlined above come to fruition.

And now I’ll tell you why I think they have pulled out all the stops. From eye-popping, unprecedented bias in the media to biased opinion polls, from unprecedented levels of questionable donations, including illegal foreign money flowing into Obama’s campaign coffers, to astronomical levels of voter registration fraud, there has never been an election season like this. They are going for broke because they believe that this is the last time they will ever have to do it. With majorities in both houses of Congress and a leftist in the White House, they will finally own the store completely. They are hoping to never have to give it up again.

When Obama said, “We are the ones We have been waiting for,” he was talking about “we the communists.”

I can only hope and pray that it is not too late for our great country. Read full article.

Please, read the entire article before you vote on Tuesday and share it with everyone you know. Why hasn’t the press done their job and vetted this man? Why is he so unkown to so many of us, other than the carefully crafted image he wants us to see? This is the future of all of us, our children and our grandchildren.

If you care about liberty and freedom vote for John McCain or Sarah Palin. If you’re a life long Democrat and can’t bring yourself to vote for a Republican you can leave the Presidential line blank or vote for Bob Barr or  Ralph Nader. But how can you read this article and not come away with reasonable doubt about Barack Obama’s (and Nancy Pelosi) ideology, motive or plans?

Shouldn’t Americans know who we’re voting for?

Posted by Lonely Conservative On October - 27 - 2008 8 COMMENTS

John McCain is pretty much an open book, what you see is what you get. Barack Obama and the left have a short list of issues about McCain they repeat over and over again.

McCain is old and we can’t have ”inexperienced” Sarah Palin a heartbeat away from the Presidency. (Although she’s far more qualified than Barack Obama and most Americans know more about her than Obama.) McCain is George W. Bush. And McCain keeps changing his message. As ABC News pointed out this evening, he’s “Jumping around from theme to theme, hoping something will stick.”

Well of course he is, there’s so much about Barack Obama the media doesn’t want us to know, someone has to talk about it. It may as well be John McCain. He hasn’t even covered half of it.

Obama’s thoughts on the “fundamental flaw” of the Constitution

Posted by Lonely Conservative On October - 27 - 2008 3 COMMENTS

Here is more audio from a 2001 interview with Barack Obama.

“I think we can say that, ah ah, the Constitution reflected an enormous blind spot in this culture that carries on to this day and ah that ah the Framers had that same blind spot. I, I don’t think the two views are contradictory to say that it was a remarkable political document, ah, that paved the way for where we are now, and to say it also reflected the fundamental flaw of this country that continues to this day.”

What exactly does he mean by ‘fundamental flaw?” That our country isn’t socialist, that the Framers never intended for our government or our courts to be the agents of wealth redistribution?

How will this man, Barack Obama, take an oath to uphold the laws of the Constitution of the United States of America when he believes it is a “fundamentally flawed” document?

Obama’s Redistribution Ideology is Deeply Rooted - Audio

Posted by Allen Wilson On October - 27 - 2008 1 COMMENT

Joe got to the heart of Obama’s ideology in Ohio, but Obama and campaign smoothed it over. Now this. What should concern us is the indication that the courts should instigate change of any kind. The indication that either through the courts or the legislative process redistributive programs are at the heart of his beliefs is telling.

‘Atlas Shrugged’ coming to the big screen?

Posted by Lonely Conservative On October - 26 - 2008 4 COMMENTS

Angelina Jolie, a reported fan of Ayn Rand, will star as Dagny Taggart in the film version of the novel ‘Atlas Shrugged,’ saying it’s a  ”Once in a lifetime film.” Apparently the film is set to be released sometime in 2009, but I don’t know if that’s a rumor.

I can’t remember the last time I was excited about a movie. I think it was before I had kids. To say I can’t wait for the release of this film is an understatement. I only wish it could have come out before the election. I’ll keep an eye out and if any new information becomes available I’ll let you know.

In the mean time, if you haven’t read ‘Atlas Shrugged’ you should. Don’t you want to know “Who is John Galt?”

1995 Obama Interview-Looking for Collective Salvation

Posted by Lonely Conservative On October - 25 - 2008 9 COMMENTS

This video contains excerpts of a 1995 interview of Barack Obama about his book “Dreams from my Father” and race relations in the United States. Click here for full transcript.

He said that white people don’t want to pay taxes to help city children. He said that for people to have good jobs we have to make sure they have child care and housing, and that’s the responsibility of society. We have to make sacrifices now for a new day and a new age. The solutions will require an investment of time, energy and money.

Obama compares Bosnia to Los Angeles and blames the problems on “ONE GROUP” trying to suppress another group. He said that his fate remains tied up with the fate of the African American community and his own salvation won’t come about without a “collective salvation for the country.”

I don’t know about anybody else, but I’m perfectly happy seeing to my own salvation.

With Dems in control can we kiss the 401k goodbye?

Posted by Lonely Conservative On October - 24 - 2008 ADD COMMENTS

When the going gets rough the Democrats get bold. So bold that they are now considering doing away with 401k accounts. In their place we would have ‘guaranteed retirement accounts’ run by none other than the Federal Government. Nothing like hard economic times to bring socialists out of the woodwork.

According to James Pethokoukis at Capital Commerce the government would deposit $600 per year into your GRA and you would be required to save 5% of your pay in these accounts, with the government paying a 3% return. Pethokoukis points out that workers would abandon the stock market right at the bottom. This would take away any chance of making back your losses in the future. Read the rest of this entry »
