Webb Drops Out Of The Socialist Primary

Jim Webb came to the realization that there is no room for sanity in the Democrats’ presidential primary race. As his rivals continue to move farther and farther to the left, Webb has decided to drop out and may run as an independent. I can’t say I blame him, why would he want to be associated with the party of socialism?

Former Virginia Sen. Jim Webb dropped out of the Democratic presidential race on Tuesday, ripping both major parties for “being pulled to the extremes” while suggesting he may consider an independent bid.

The decision comes after the ex-senator and former Navy secretary struggled to gain traction in a race dominated by Hillary Clinton, and to an extent Sen. Bernie Sanders.

In a press conference Tuesday afternoon, Webb said political candidates are “increasingly out of step with the people they’re supposed to serve,” claiming Americans also are increasingly independent — and uncomfortable with “the extremes.”

“For this reason, I’m withdrawing from any consideration of being the Democratic Party’s nominee for the presidency,” Webb said. (Read More)

Now that so many Democrat voters are embracing socialism, it’s doubtful many of them will miss Webb’s presence in the race. But they should. And they should really watch what they wish for. They might think that socialism is all about punishing the rich, but as usual, it’s the middle and lower classes that will be hurt the worst if they get their way.
