It’s been another busy work week so I haven’t had much time for blogging.
The kids are both away this weekend on a trip with the youth group at our church. I spent the evening cleaning, which I didn’t mind. I miss the boys but will enjoy having a clean house for a day and a half. Plus, I like staying busy and I’ve been feeling pretty disgusted by politics lately. At least when I clean the house, or have a long work day, I know I got something accomplished, which is more than most conservative activists can say lately. It’s not that we don’t try, just that the forces working against us are so vast. They’re everywhere - in government, the media, the entertainment industry, the schools, even places of worship.
Oh well, another day, another dollar, with about fifty cents going to the government for them to waste as they see fit. But things could be worse. I could be one of those crazy feminists who wastes my days and nights hating the opposite sex and coming up with new and creative labels for myself in the hope of garnering some attention from strangers. If I ever start writing that kind of crazy nonsense please get me help right away. Also call for help if I ever start calling colors racist or blaming your car and furnace for a bad storm.
I often wonder why I keep this blog going. Maybe it’s just a way to stay connected to those of you haven’t gone completely insane. So please keep commenting, even if off topic. Even though I don’t usually have time to respond I do read every comment.
I guess that’s enough rambling for one day. Before I sign off, I would be remiss if I didn’t ask you all to say a little prayer for our friend MareZilla. She’s still struggling with debilitating health issues so she’s passing the torch along to the little ones. Please follow the link and send her some encouragement and good wishes.
Oh, and the picture on the front page is of some pumpkins we carved a couple of years ago.
