The grand jury finally revealed its decision not to indict in the case of Ferguson, MO police officer Darren Wilson in the shooting of 18 year old Michael Brown. Expect the riots to begin at any moment.

Prosecutor McCullough made the announcement in an unusual nighttime presentation in a courtroom. He spoke at length about media coverage of the case and what he called the unreliability of eyewitness accounts. He said the grand jury weighed evidence and testimony before concluding there was no probable cause to indict the officer.

“The duty of the grand jury is to separate fact from fiction,” McCulloch said.

He said prosecuting attorneys presented five potential indictments to the grand jury, and all were rejected.

“The jury was not inclined to indict on any charges,” Benjamin Crump, an attorney for Brown’s family, said after being informed of the decision by authorities.

The news just came out a few minutes ago and the protesters are all ready to begin causing mayhem.

You can also find video from the DA’s announcement here and here. Witnesses testified that Brown charged at Wilson, so I don’t know what the protesters and agitators think Wilson was supposed to do.

Update: As expected, the rioting, looting and arson destroyed quite a bit of Ferguson. Many of the destroyed businesses are owned by minorities who now can’t make a living. You can see photos of the destruction here, and read about some of the reporters who were attacked here.
