Punchline: Hillary

For all of the good it does, a new poll shows that if the 2012 election was held today Mitt Romney would beat Barack Obama in a landslide. That could be good news for Republicans in the upcoming midterms, but still, President Obama doesn’t care much for Congress no matter who is in charge, and he acts accordingly. Unfortunately, there are no do-overs in elections. We’re stuck with Obama until 2016.

He might be absent, providing no leadership as he awaits the new world order, but his cabinet secretaries and the other bureaucrats in the federal government are carrying out his mission. We have a record number of Americans living in poverty or dependent on government for their survival. The middle class can’t catch a break as our net worth falls and the cost of food and energy rise. Illegal immigrants are flooding across the border with dreams of “permisos” dancing in their heads, and those of us who object are told we have no compassion.

The Dodd-Frank financial reform didn’t reform anything, but it did retard the economic recovery. So did Obamacare, which is only going to make things worse when premiums rise yet again.

Things are no better abroad. The Iranians and North Koreans are laughing at us. In China they’re licking their chops. Terrorists are on the march, killing Christians and others deemed to be infidels, and establishing a caliphate in Iraq. (For the gay Americans who think things are better thanks to Obama, tell that to the gay victims of Muslim terrorists. I doubt they spend much time worrying about marriage certificates.) Current US foreign policy is so bad, the administration has even sided with terrorists over an ally.

Oh, and here’s the punchline: the same poll has Hillary Clinton on top. She carried out Obama’s foreign policy for more than four years, sowed the seeds for Obamacare, and hasn’t differentiated herself from him on any other domestic policy. But what does any of that matter? She wears pantsuits!

Kind of makes you wonder why you even get out of bed in the morning.
