Chris Christie Addresses CPAC, Gets Standing Ovation

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie won over the conservative crowd at CPAC Thursday and received a standing ovation after delivering a rousing speech.

He said that the GOP needs to “stop talking about what we are against and start talking about what we are for. Our ideas are better than their ideas.”

He went on to highlight some of the big things Republican governors are doing in the states. Scott Walker made it voluntary to join a union in Wisconsin. John Kasich brought down taxes in Ohio. Rick Snyder made Michigan “the home of the UAW” a right to work state. And Rick Scott started out with an unemployment rate above 11% that is now under the national average after three years. “Republican governors across the country have stood up and done things, rather than talk about it” he said.

He then turned his attention to President Obama, who he slammed saying “If that’s your attitude Mr. President then what the hell are we paying you for? Leadership is not about standing on the sidelines and spit balling.”

On winning the future, Christie said “We don’t get to govern if we don’t win.” He has a point there.
