In case you missed it (which I’m sure many of you did), here’s Bill O’Reilly’s Super Bowl Sunday interview with President Obama. I actually thought O’Reilly asked some pretty tough questions. One of my liberal friends on facebook confirmed that when he wrote “O’Reilly’s an a$$hole.” Of course, Obama dodged the questions and blamed Fox News for his troubles. You can read the full transcript at Fox News, but here are the “blame Fox” parts.
O’REILLY: — but I just want to say that they’re — your detractors believe that you did not tell the world it was a terror attack because your campaign didn’t want that out.
OBAMA: Bill, think about…
O’REILLY: That’s what they believe.
OBAMA: — and they believe it because folks like you are telling them that.
And then this about the IRS scandal:
O’REILLY: But how do you know that, because we — we still don’t know what happened there?
OBAMA: Bill, we do — that’s not what happened. They — folks have, again, had multiple hearings on this. I mean these kinds of things keep on surfacing, in part because you and your TV station will promote them.
Oh, he also denied wanting to fundamentally transform the United States, but as O’Reilly pointed out, those were his words.
Update: The Other McCain noted how Obama downplayed the IRS scandal.
