Obama Golfs On Stimulus Anniversary

It’s been five years since President Obama signed the massive stimulus, AKA Porkulus, bill into law. The shovel ready jobs weren’t so shovel ready and today fewer people are in the workforce than before the massive spending bill was passed. So how is Obama marking the anniversary? He’s golfing in California.

President Barack Obama went golfing on the five-year anniversary of his failed $831 billion stimulus bill.

GOP legislators slammed Obama and his policies as Obama hit the links Monday morning at the Sunnylands course, which is located beside Gerald Ford Drive, near Palm Springs, Calif. He went golfing with friends Bobby Titcomb, Greg Orme and Michael Ramos, according to a pool report.

“The percentage of Americans participating in the labor force is at the lowest level since Jimmy Carter occupied the White House as millions of discouraged job seekers have simply stopped looking for work,” said a statement from Sen. John Thune.

Speaker of the House John Boehner marked the day with contemptuous message to Obama. ”The ‘stimulus’ has turned out to be a classic case of big promises and big spending with little results … millions of families are still asking ‘where are the jobs?’” (Read More)

Plenty of people friends and donors of Obama got jobs, or at least got paid. People like Solyndra executives and others who oversaw green energy boondoggles. Thanks to Obamacare the rest of us have been told we’ve been liberated from our jobs. That’s quite a record.

Update: Time Magazine points out that the golf courses Obama has been playing on are huge water guzzlers in the midst of the drought. On Friday he babbled about climate change causing the drought and said we need to rethink how we use water. I guess he wants more of it used for his leisure.
