Couple’s Baby Excluded From Family Plan Under Obamacare

The New York Post reported that a couple from Long Island would have their baby excluded from a family health insurance plan under Obamacare. The husband and wife are both self employed and have always purchased their health insurance through the individual market. They thought they would check out the rates offered under Obamacare. They could buy a family plan for themselves and their three other children for between about $800 to $2500 per month, but were told their infant would need her own policy until she turns two years old. That would add an additional $115 to $370 per month.
