One of the problems with the Obamacare exchange websites is that they miscalculate the subsidies available to those who are signing up. One woman was so excited she was finally going to be able to have health insurance that she fired off a letter to President Obama to express her gratitude. He even read her letter as an example of a success story. Well, it turns out she is one of the ones who got bad numbers from the exchange. Really bad.
“But days, just really three days after she was mentioned by the president, Jessica Sanford started having problems, she was receiving letters from the Washington state health exchange,” reports CNN. “The first letter telling her that tax credit was reduced, therefore, increasing the cost of her health care plan and the, take a look at this, then she received a letter just last week telling her that her tax credit had been taken away all together. Now the poor woman who was duped by these liberals is still uninsured and extremely embarrassed.
Here’s the CNN report, which opened with the news that the administration was aware healthcare.gov would be a disaster back in the spring. They also reported that others in Washington state also had their subsidies miscalculated, so this isn’t an isolated case.
