We’re well into day four of the partial government shutdown orchestrated by President Barack Obama and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. And have no doubt, they own this shutdown. House Republicans passed a bill funding every aspect of government with the exception of Obamacare. They then passed another bill funding every aspect of government, but delaying the individual mandate and getting rid of the exception for congress.

But we do know who had the option to keep the government running and chose not to. The money voted by the House of Representatives covered everything that the government does, except for ObamaCare.buy valium without prescription
The Senate chose not to vote to authorize that money to be spent, because it did not include money for ObamaCare. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid says that he wants a “clean” bill from the House of Representatives, and some in the media keep repeating the word “clean” like a mantra. But what is unclean about not giving Harry Reid everything he wants?buy tramadol no prescription

The Republican House has also passed bills with funding for keeping federal memorials, cemeteries, the NIH and quite a few other programs up and running. Every one of those bills has been shot down by Harry Reid, and even if those bills passed the Senate, Obama has vowed he would veto them.
While grocery stores on our military bases are closed, Obama made sure that his favorite golf course at Andrews Air Force Base remained open. But priests contracted by the military to attend to our troops’ spiritual needs have been banned from volunteering their services. While the barricades at the World War II memorial are being reinforced, Obama is sitting for a portrait. While the military is cutting off sports coverage for our troops serving overseas, they are keeping Camp David open in case Obama wants to get away.
After all of that (and more) these people have the nerve, the gall, to ask Americans to share their sob stories caused by this mess they created. Yet most in the media continue to give them a pass. ABC News on Friday night played a clip of Obama at some eatery blabbering about Republicans having a gun to somebody’s head; and their local affiliate reported about the Army stores closing, but didn’t even mention how Camp David of the Andrews Air Force Base golf course staying open. It’s maddening!
