In his radio address this weekend President Obama described having health insurance as a right, as if it’s up to him and other men to bestow rights upon us as they see fit. As if we are all entitled to the goods and services provided by others simply because he says so. Oh, and as usual, he used the address to attack those who are opposed to his rotten policies, which he now refers to as “a better bargain.” Our tax dollars at work.
In blunt terms, Mr. Obama used his weekly address to describe health insurance as a “right” and distinguished states that have embraced his law against those that have not.
He said the Affordable Care Act is already helping young adults stay on their parents’ health plans and offering free preventative care.
“But there’s also a group of Republicans in Congress working hard to confuse people, and making empty promises that they’ll either shut down the health care law, or, if they don’t get their way, they’ll shut down the government,” he said.
“Think about that,” he added. “They’re actually having a debate between hurting Americans who will no longer be denied affordable care just because they’ve been sick — and harming the economy and millions of Americans in the process. And many Republicans are more concerned with how badly this debate will hurt them politically than they are with how badly it’ll hurt the country.”
His defense of the law comes less than two months before state-by-state insurance markets, or “exchanges,” start to enroll Americans without employer-based insurance who may buy coverage with the help of government subsidies. (Read More)
This is the sort of thinking that’s wrong in the world today. Especially coming from a guy whose administration routinely tramples on our God given rights without a second thought.
Here’s the video, if you can stand it.
Sheesh, I want to go back on vacation.

Every time I don’t think Dear Leader can lower himself and the Office any further, he exceeds it in the most disgusting way.
This address will go down as one of the most disrespectful, demagogic hate rants by any president. This is in the tone of a thuggish union leader’s speech to membership. He shames me, the country and our citizenry. Unfortunately, his cultish base of LIVs believes him.

Is Health Insurance A Right? Yes. It’s the only “right” that we have to be forced to exercise.

If you think that is nuts, I was just looking at an article on Salon - “what i learned from getting shot” - by 2 dudes in hoodies. In Washington DC. (where else !)
Evidently he did not learn much of anything. It is a screed against racial profiling. Of course, it is all about him, rather than having any ideas about what to do about the fact that gang-bangers exist - and they shoot people. Gang-bangers love the 4th amendment just like commies - it becomes a tool to game the system.

Spoken like a propagandist liar. His own party has admitted this is an unworkable clusterfxxk to citizens. Even the most ignorant have awoken to realizing the influx of illegal immigration will minimize their free lunch. We only need to look across the pond at the EU to see how devastating the march past socialism toward totalitarianism is. He is a phony; a narcissistic chronic liar.
