Man Arrested After Taking Joe Biden’s Advice And Firing Off Shotgun


A man in Washington state was arrested after he fired off his shotgun to scare off potential intruders on his property. He told the police he was only following the advice of Vice President Joe Biden, who once related that he told his wife if anyone tried to intrude on their property to just go to the balcony and fire off the shotgun. His point was that AR15’s are not necessary for self-defense. Now we’ll see if the “Biden defense” works in court.

Jeffery Barton, a 52-year-old Vancouver, Wash. resident, pleaded not guilty Wednesday to charges stemming from his decision to chase alleged car intruders away with a shotgun blast in the air. He cited Biden’s advice as his inspiration, according to a local news report.
