My son’s All Star baseball team made it through the first tournament and tonight they play the first game in the district championship series. If they win, they will go on to play again tomorrow. And so on. I’ll be at work for a good part of the day, and then will have to make sure the kids get fed before we leave for the game which is in another county, so we have to leave early. I may have time to squeeze in a blog post, but then again, maybe not. Be sure to check the “Today’s Headlines” page for the latest news.
Oh, and please wish my son and his teammates good luck. They’ve been practicing and working hard every day, even in the unusual heat and humidity that has gripped our little slice of the world. I couldn’t be prouder of all of them.
Update: The game went long, and we lost. Oh well, better luck next year. I should hopefully be back to my normal blogging tomorrow. We did find ourselves in the middle of a crazy police chase on Route 81 near Lafayette, NY on the way home. I’m not sure how that ended up. We’re hoping nobody got hurt.
This week has demonstrated how we came so far, so fast on gay marriage…
Good luck to the team and have an enjoyable day!
Looks like AlterNet is light posting too:
Today’s headlines from AlterNet:

Gee - did they find a bong ? AlterNet is high on drugs.
Good luck and good weather too!
Thanks! It’s looking like it could rain here. Hopefully it will be nice where we’re going.
That’s awesome! Good luck to him and his team!
