Earlier this week White House spox Jay Carney said, with a straight face, that President Obama has made an “efficient and effective” government a “cornerstone” of his administration and that they take their role as “stewards of the taxpayer dollar very seriously.” He had to have been kidding. Today we found out that the federal government paid out $332 million in bonuses to federal workers, but that’s just what we know of. They didn’t release information on all federal employees, so it could be much higher. And the IRS official who played Spock in that expensive video they made is testifying before the House on the agencies wasteful spending. Those are just two small examples of the waste coming out of the “efficient and effective” administration. What a joke.
