Senate To Vote On Immigration Amendment With Chicken Scratch In The Margins



Hey, so what if the Corker immigration amendment has chicken scratch in the margins? It’s not like anyone in the Senate actually reads the bills they vote for. Seriously, how many of them do you think have read the more than 1,000 page gang of 8 bill, let alone this amendment?

The Senate will vote Monday on a five-part amendment to the approximately 1,075-page immigration bill that would legalize illegal aliens and eventually allow them to become citizens of the United States. The text of the amendment has been posted on the website of the Senate Judiciary Committee–and part of it is presented in illegible handwriting scrawled across the margins of a page in the draft bill.
