On a morning show the other day New York Mayor Michael “Nanny” Bloomberg declared that the government has the right to infringe on our freedoms. That’s not all he’s been saying. On his radio show last week he talked about drones and a surveillance state and basically said people should just shut up and get used to it.
“Everybody wants their privacy, but I don’t know how you’re going to maintain it. It’s just we’re going into a different world, uncharted, and, like it or not, what people can do, what governments can do, is different. And you can to some extent control, but you can’t keep the tides from coming in.”
“The argument against using automation, it’s this craziness– oh, it’s Big Brother. Get used to it.”
Read the whole thing. What a horrible person, I can’t believe the people of New York City not only put up with him, but elected him to a third term after he changed the rules.
