Solyndra’s Half a Billion Dollar Legacy – A Bunch of Tubes Stuck to a Box in the Middle of a Garden

Zombie found out what happened to some of the Solyndra solar tubes that weren’t destroyed after the company went belly up and the taxpayers lost half a billion dollars. They’re part of an art project in a wooden box in the middle of a garden at UC Berkeley. I suppose you could call this thing a shed, but I doubt the roof will hold up for very long if there’s any inclement weather.

From the view above you can’t see the tubes sticking out the back of the structure.

Here’s what it looks like from the inside.

Well, I guess it’s good that the tubes were used for something. But I’m still not sure if I should laugh or cry.

Be sure to check out the other photos and the rest of the story at PJ Media. I doubt it will do anything to improve your mood, but could be a reminder of why it’s so important to vote against Obama in the November election. Good grief.
