I will try to get back to my regular posting here as soon as possible. I have chronic dental problems, and they’re coming back to haunt me. The pain is distracting. Sorry. Hopefully I can get it taken care of ASAP and be back to my chipper little self in no time.
Update: I was able to be seen today, it looks like I have a cracked tooth underneath a crown. I’m now waiting for the antibiotic and pain medication to kick in. The tooth will probably have to be pulled, and replaced with an implant. Fun times. Thanks for all of the advice in the comments.

Naproxen sodium, short term. It helps the hurt.

I had 2 teeth pulled last week. Molars and roots were crossed. Been hurting for 2 years. What eased my pain was rinsing with peroxide. Naproxen did help too.
Sorry you’re hurting…..

You have my sympathy: toothaches are just no fun at all. Having had several dentists in my lifetime, I can say that having a good dentist really does make a difference.

I always found that bourbon manhattans helped. And the hangovers could be miserable enough to take my mind off the teeth.

Oil of clove. Put a drop on your finger and gently rub it on the tooth or teeth and surrounding tissue too.
It’s very powerful so don’t resort using it on a daily basis.

If you’re going to have extractions, insist on stitches. That will stop the bleeding very quickly.
Best wishes and hope you feel better soon.

I agree about the stitches, I’ve had it done both with & without, far less complications & faster healing when they stitch it up after!

I understand a doorknob and string works well. A fight with a drunk also does the job. Of course False death don’t hurt at all, ever. When I was in my late twenties due to a problem with antibiotics, my teeth softened and eventually I had to get all the top teeth pulled. I had it done surgically and was stitched up afterward. Unfortunately I got a blood infection which swelled up my head like a balloon, and all the stitches if they hadn’t torn out had to be removed. The only good part about the whole thing was having to change dentist. We started dating and he forgave the bill. Said I had suffered enough. So, you could try falling in love with your dentist.
These are all just suggestions. You need not pay attention to any of them.

I think my husband might object to me dating the dentist. Haha! I’m glad it worked out for you, sounds like quite an ordeal.

Maybe, but if you mention the cost that a kiss would erase. Just kidding. What happens in the dentist chair, stays in the dentist chair.
