Shelly is a mother, teacher and farmer in Pennsylvania who became concerned about hydrofracking wells planned for her property after watching the propaganda film Gasland. So she set out to find answers to the questions she and her family had about the safety of fracking. What she found out from experts on both sides of the debate is much different that what Gasland’s producer Josh Fox would have you believe, so she made this film that she calls Truthland to counter Fox’s claims. It’s about half an hour, and includes footage of water being lit on fire on gas-rich properties where there is no drilling or fracking going on.
