The Brett Kimberlin saga has gone from bad to worse for Aaron Walker. At the hearing today to answer Brett Kimberlin’s request for a peace order (I assume that’s similar to a restraining order) Walker was taken into custody! Not the Speedway Bomber who has been harassing bloggers.  It’s like we’re living in The Twilight Zone or something. This is unbelievable.

The Other McCain has some of the details.

One person who attended the hearing in Montgomery County District Court said that Kimberlin asserted that Walker’s continued blogging represented a violation of a “peace order” Kimberlin had obtained against the Virginia attorney, who says Kimberlin tried to “frame” him for assault earlier this year.

During the course of the hearing — which reportedly lasted about an hour — Judge C.J. Vaughey appeared to become increasingly hostile toward Walker, who was taken into custody when the hearing concluded.

(If you’ve been offline for the past week or so you can catch up on the story at The American Spectator.)

Lee Stranahan tweeted (via Twitchy): “If someone is allowed to use a peace order / restraining order against a writer to stop them from writing, we’re ALL in huge peril.” I’ll say.

You can read a first-person account of the hearing here. The judge actually said, in reference to Kimberlin, that “even a prostitute is entitled to protection.” How many prostitutes have been convicted of literally blowing people up? Good grief. Ladd Ehlinger summed things up pretty well.

It is an absolute miscarriage of justice, but no surprise, given that Judge C.J. Vaughey has some very odd ideas of justice.

A teacher who was caught peeping-tomming on a 12 year old outside of the kid’s home got 45 days.

Teen-ager who police say turned in parents for growing marijuana can return home.

Now this jackass judge ignores the fact that Brett Kimberlin is a convicted domestic terrorist and jails someone who writes the truth about him.

Note to self: stay out of Maryland. Judges like C.J. Vaughey are insane monsters.

According to The Blaze, Walker was arrested for second degree assault for taking Kimberlin’s iPad at a previous hearing.

I can’t believe this is happening in America.

Le·gal In·sur·rec· tion has the judge’s order. It looks like Walker was arrested for death threats, and not assault as noted at The Blase. I read most of his posts, and never saw any death threat. Whether or not someone posted a threat in the comments, I don’t know.
