Monday Morning Quick Hits
ByFrugal Consumers Guide Company Decisions – Americans understand that the economy is extremely fragile. With unemployment topping 10% people are saving money wherever they can. (They don’t trust the politicians’ promises to turn the economy around.) On the bright side, at least there should be some good deals for Christmas and holiday shopping this year.
Sorting through the AM spin on the Stupak vote – Pro-lifers and anti-government take over of health care folks were in a bit of a bind Saturday. If they allowed the Stupak Amendment banning abortion funding from the health care bill to pass, they knew there would be enough blue dogs for the final bill to pass. If they didn’t allow the Stupak Amendment to pass, the bill could have passed anyway without the provision. It was a tough spot to be in. We’ll have to wait and see whether the amendment makes it through the Senate and into a final bill.
Tears, tempers fly in Nancy Pelosi’s campaign – Cry me a river! Crying because federal tax dollars won’t fund abortions!?!? Some people really need to get a life.
The Twenty-Eighth Amendment – Here is one idea I think all Americans will agree on.
All eyes on Sen. Harry Reid – Find out where the health care bill goes from here. Rahmbo’s already putting the pressure on Harry Reid. He wants to make sure he has a shiny new health care bill to put under the boss’s Christmas tree. But Harry has a tough road ahead of him and there’s a chance there won’t be any Senate vote before the end of the year.
The Lords of Entitlement – The Wall Street Journal slams democrats and their health care bill. Definitely worth a read.
Four Little Words – Anthony Dolan relates the story behind Ronald Reagan’s Berlin Wall speech. Reagan wasn’t afraid to speak the truth about our enemies’ moral weaknesess. Whoever it was that called Obama Reaganesque must be eating his words.
Fort Hood Gunman told US military colleagues that infidels should have their throats cut – Is it now okay to jump to the conclusion that this was a terrorist act committed by a Muslim fanatic?

How can we help get this 28th amendmend going?
Oops, I meant to say amendment. Too bad this blog doesn’t have spell check
.
# 1 – Nancy got her pro-abortion buddies together to tell them not to worry, the no-abortion language will be kicked out when
this monstrosity is worked on. # 2 – “Intelligence” sources were looking into this guy’s attempts to contact Al Quida, didn’t act on it, probably didn’t even warn the Army about him. Our Homeland Security Director says that our biggest threat is the threat of backlash against Muslims. Political correctness will kill us yet. By the way, I thought that veterans, church-goers and gun-owners were the worst threat. 2
