Debbie Wasserman Shultz – Stupak amendment will be stripped from final health care bill

By Lonely Conservative

I hope all those pro-lifers who voted for the democrat’s health care bill in the House because it included an amendment barring federal funds for abortion are happy. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Shultz (D-FL) seems pretty confident that the amendment will be stripped from the final bill.

The Hill reported:

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.), the Democrats’ chief deputy whip in the House, said that she and other pro-choice lawmakers would work to strip the amendment included in the House health bill that bars federal funding from going to subsidize abortions.

“I am confident that when it comes back from the conference committee that that language won’t be there,” Wasserman Schultz said during an appearance on MSNBC. “And I think we’re all going to be working very hard, particularly the pro-choice members, to make sure that’s the case.”

[...]

The conference between the House and Senate bills after the upper chamber passes its bill will present an opportunity to strip the Stupak amendment, and liberal Democrats have vowed to work hard to get rid of that language during that stage of the legislation.

“It was extremely painful for me to feel compelled to vote for a bill that contained that kind of restriction on a woman’s ability to make her own reproductive choices,” Wasserman Schultz said.

Reproductive choices?!?! Is she joking? There’s nothing in the amendment repealing Roe v. Wade. If people want to make the choice to have an abortion they should pay for it themselves.  Since when does forcing the taxpayers to fund abortions have anything to do with reproductive choice?

These people are sick.

I don’t care what they do with this “landmark” bill, anything short of walking it over to the nearest dumpster and dropping it in with a resounding thud is just another backstabbing from the SOB’s on the hill.

I have a small aquarium with about 2 dozen Guppies.

Even THEY knew this was gonna happen…but our elected officials? Not a clue.

Turns out that movie Dumb and Dumber isn’t so far fetched after all.

Choice should be made before becoming pregnant. Choice should include birth control and/or voluntary sterilization. If one does not use birth control, then one has chosen to become pregnant.

What about my freedom of religion? I don’t force my religion on them, so why should they force their Godless, promiscuous, unborn child-loathing views on me and make me pay for them?

As far as a woman’s reproductive choices… She had her choice. She made it. And, now she doesn’t want to face the consequences of it at the expense of another person, who although unborn, is yet still one of God’s children just as much as she is. Why do they care more about animal rights than the rights of unborn humans? They probably care more about the rights of unborn animals than they do about unborn humans. Why is it always about the reproductive choices but never about the reproductive consequences? Oh well… isn’t that the way with our times–it’s all about doing what we want to do, but never facing the unwanted consequences. It certainly seems to be the way of the Democrats and the Obama Administration.

But, even though the Democrats don’t want to admit it, there is always a day of reckoning. Some day, we will all face our consequences. I just wish there was some way to opt out of the trainwreck the Democrats are forcing upon all of us–even those of us that absolutely don’t want anything to do with them. The Democrats’ out of control spending will come back to bite us all in the butt–even those of us intelligent enough to see through their garbage and campaign against it. I just hope the rest of America realizes what is going on before it’s too late and gets rid of the corrupt Democrats and RINOS and elects decent people who represent the people and not the special interests.
