Principled Conservative Candidates Frighten Democrats and the Media

By Lonely Conservative

The media and democrats are acting like the Doug Hoffman campaign is somehow bad for the Republican Party. You know, the radical conservatives have driven moderate Dede Scozzafava out of the election. (Scozzafava is stunned that her liberal record has been under a microscope, and she can’t stop whining about it.)

Politico’s hysteria over an “uncivil war” in the GOP is ridiculous. They want to hijack our movement. First of all, Dede Scozzafava is NOT a moderate. She’s a liberal who’s in favor of card-check. She even supported the Porkulus bill, for crying out loud. She’s liberal on social issues, she’s liberal on fiscal issues. She’s a plant.

Earlier I heard someone say (sorry, I forget who, possibly Dick Armey) that the Republican Party needs to return to the conservative principles that won them elections. Think back to Ronald Reagan in the ’80s and the “Contract with America” in the ’90s.  They had a big tent, but there were certain core principles that everyone agreed on. If anything, primaries are good for the party.  They run into problems when men in back rooms choose candidates rather than the voters.

Rush Limbaugh called the NY23 election a “turning point.” (See video below) The democrats are scared of conservative candidates like Doug Hoffman. Why else would they be out there complaining about the GOP kicking Scozzafava out of the party? What do they care if Republicans give liberals the boot? Because they know the American people are fed up, and we like having a clear choice between a principled conservative or a dangerous liberal.
