The Unhinged Left
ByThe left should be rejoicing – their peeps control the executive and legislative branches of the federal government. Not to mention the left tilt of the judicial branch. Nothing is enough for these people. Any criticism of their Dear Leader or his minions sends them into fits of rage. Take for instance this little bit from Keith Olbermann, who I’m sure wouldn’t have voiced any opposition to children singing to George W. Bush for liberating Iraqi’s and cutting mommy and daddy’s taxes.

Yes, you heard that right, he called Michelle Malkin a “big mashed-up bag of meat with lipstick on it.” I wonder if the Washington Post will mention Olbermann in their next article about civility.
At least Olbermann didn’t make up racist quotes attributable to Michelle Malkin, the way CNN and others are doing to Rush Limbaugh. Without any proof whatsoever – no links, no audio, no video, no transcript – they’ve attributed such quotes to Limbaugh as “You know who deserves a posthumous Medal of Honor? James Earl Ray [the confessed assassin of Martin Luther King]. We miss you, James. Godspeed.” No wonder Rush is threatening legal action over these false claims. People believe this garbage.
The other day I was talking to a friend of mine, a perfectly nice person, who expressed her disgust with Rush Limbaugh. I asked if she ever listened to his show, she said no. In fact, she said she would never listen to his show because of the rotten things he says. I said she ought to listen for herself and then make up her own mind. She wouldn’t hear of it, as if listening would somehow brainwash her into becoming a racist hate monger.
MSNBC’s Chris Matthews openly fantasized about about the murder of Rush Limbaugh. Where’s the outrage – isn’t he inciting violence? Even Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee has gotten in on the action. She took to the House floor to urge the NFL not to allow Limbaugh to purchase the Rams. It’s insanity, pure insanity – and this all happened in the past few days! They’ve completely gone off the deep end.

It’d a rare occasion I encounter civility, logic and reason. It’s mostly emotional name calling.
