Americans moving to the right?
By Lonely ConservativeGallop reports that Americans overwhelmingly report a shift to the right ideologically.
Despite the results of the 2008 presidential election, Americans, by a 2-to-1 margin, say their political views in recent years have become more conservative rather than more liberal, 39% to 18%, with 42% saying they have not changed. While independents and Democrats most often say their views haven’t changed, more members of all three major partisan groups indicate that their views have shifted to the right rather than to the left.
On the face of it, this news sort of defies logic. Only a few months ago they elected the most radical liberal candidate to the highest office in the land, yet Americans are calling themselves conservative? It doesn’t seem to make sense, until you take into account the fact that the media failed in vetting candidate Obama. Too many Americans trust the media and/or were mesmerized by the smooth talking one term senator from Illinois.
Unfortunately for President Obama, the media won’t be able to mask the pain his economic policies are causing Americans. Blaming Bush is only going to work for so long. Most of the unemployed in America lost their jobs after Obama became president. Americans not only don’t want a second stimulus, they want the first stimulus cancelled.
How this will all play out in next year’s mid-term elections remains to be seen. The democrats are overreaching, that’s a given. Whether the voters will take it out on their own congressman or senator is unclear. If they’re paying attention they will, but after seeing what happened last fall I wouldn’t bet on it. The republicans should take heed - moving to the left in the spirit of bipartisanship isn’t going to get them anywhere.
If the democrats retain control over congress after the 2010 election the damage they will do will never be undone. (If it’s not too late already.)

It would seem that this is the every 25 t0 30 year trend in American politics. We elect know-it-all types who will try to fit-in with everyone. While in the process, they will promise the world in order to attempt to destroy everything for that ideal humanitarian, socialist, utopian dreamworld. Thus paving the way, through the ballot box, for a solid return to true American prosperity by leaders who know how to move forward towards actually governing once all the grandstanding & campaigning are in the history books! Whining about what previous administrations left you is not moving forward at all. Which is what “change they can believe in” campaigned that he would do…move forward. In fact, at every turn, this has not been the case. In the last 2 years, these progressives have wasted so much in resources and time just to reverse anything that was remotely attached to G. W. Bush. All in a lame attempt to push the ‘…see, all of G.W.’s policies have failed…’ agenda. So it is no big surprise as to the numbers of voters who are waking up to this thug Nosferatu & all the minions that follow/ feed off of the approval polls, the wealthy & the not-so-wealthy.
Only questions remains are: Do you arm yourself with education about what we are up against? Or, do you allow the vampires the chance to do what they do best?
