Meghan McCain Rips on Cheney, Gingrich and Rove
ByMeghan McCain was a guest co-host on The View. This is the nicest I’ve seen those ladies ever treat a republican.
The thing that annoys me the most about Ms. McCain is that she’s so unserious. She thinks she has all the answers for the Republican Party. Does she believe gay marriage is the biggest issue facing our republic? I would take her more seriously if she were to say “I personally support gay marriage, but that’s beside the point. Gay marriage should be decided by the states.”
Here she rips on Karl Rove and Dick Cheney for criticizing President Obama. Does Ms. McCain have any criticism at all for the president? Is she fond of socialism? How does she feel about the “generational theft” her father has railed about, or the democrats’ desire to turn the US into a banana republic? Should her father refrain from criticizing the new president? If not, why is it okay for him to do so and not Rove and Cheney?
If she would like more young people in the Republican Party she could start by not trashing republicans. And if she herself is such a committed republican, why did she only recently familiarize herself with Michael Steele?
I think Ms. McCain is a lovely young lady, but as a republican she certainly doesn’t speak for me. The Republican Party is bad enough. They’ve thrown traditional republican principles out the window for political reasons. Look where that got them. Ms. McCain isn’t doing them any favors and if they take her advice I will surely leave the party.
