Open Thread – Romney/Sanford 2012 and SU vs UConn
ByI’m up late watching the Syracuse-UConn game and it’s triple overtime. (Why did Devendorf foul that guy?!?) (All is forgiven-it’s now a 2 point game!) Anyhoo, I’ve had plenty of time to search the web.
We’re all wishing our lives away, waiting for 2012. If our republic lasts that long, what do you think of a Romney/Sanford ticket? Sounds like a winner to me!
Updates below.
Update: It’s now overtime 4 thanks to Andy Rautins who saved the day. He’s from my home town!!! When I read your comments later this morning I’m going to be really tired.
Update: Now it’s 5th overtime! Oh boy! No sleep for me.
Update: 6th overtime. 110 to 110! Please post lots of links in the morning because I’m going to be really tired! And since I’m one of those crazy conservatives, I have a day job so I don’t have the luxury of sleeping in.
Update: Syracuse beat UConn 127 to 117!!! Now I can get a few hours of sleep! Good night and good morning.

PCC – Me too!
Romney let me down when he endorsed McCain. I am not sure I could back him, even though he’s the man for the economy. I love Sanford, been beating the drum for him for awhile.
But let’s look at facts– the party has no legs. It’s in a big pile and has no real vision. We need leadership that will take us back to local government. Not one who will just change the style of the central government.
Look back, who actually gave real power back to the states? How long has it been since we were able to keep control over issues at the state level. That’s where it belongs.
Time to jettison the Central Government/Global concept and get back to We the People as government.
Pay me now or pay me later . . . ..

…”The majority of the voters are just dull and mentally inert people who dislike thinking and are easily deceived by the enticing promises of irresponsible pied pipers. Subconscious inferiority complexes and envy push people toward the parties of the Left. They rejoice in the policies of confiscating the greater part of the income and wealth of successful businessmen without grasping the fact that these policies harm their own material interests. Disregarding all the objections raised by economists, they firmly believe that they can get many good things for nothing.”…
SA-It is true, republicans and democrats alike have expanded the role of government in our lives. But look what AWM just posted – majority rule and the politicians know how to push the right buttons to get the majority to vote for them.
In case you missed the game, you can read about it here. Who knew we were watching the 2nd longest Division 1 game ever?
