On 9/11/01 James Carville Wished President Bush Would Fail

By Lonely Conservative

Moments before the 9/11 attacks Democratic strategist James Carville told reporters (about President Bush) “I certainly hope he doesn’t succeed.” At least he had the sense to tell them to disregard his comments upon hearing about the attacks.

Now I don’t think James Carville wanted the United States to fail, just as I don’t think Rush Limbaugh wants the United States to fail. What gets me is the double standard. Rush Limbaugh’s comments were taken out of context and then played on an endless loop of outrage for weeks. The media used his comments as a bludgeon against any Republican who appeared for an interview.

Where’s the outrage over Carville’s comments? Heck, forget the outrage! Just report it!

  1. William says:

I really Wish ole Rush would retire from the golden microphone at EIB and run for president. That way maybe he can talk to some of these mental midgets (as Mark Lavin calls them) on a more personal basis and show them what they cannot seem to figure out. I honestly do not see how these people can be so damn stubborn about doing things that are not good for the economy or the people to make sure that a few people in politics have a great life. What we have here is the biggest MOB that was ever put together and we have to have someone as outspoken as the great RUSH LIMBAUGH in office to clear up a few things.

  2. El Rushbo would get my vote!
