Mitt Romney – The Last Adult Standing

By Lonely Conservative

Mitt Romney isn’t just the last grown-up Republican left standing, but the last grown-up politician left standing.

Anyone with children knows that kids want everything, and they will beg and plead with you to give them what they want. It’s up to adults to explain the difference between wants and needs. It’s also up to adults to explain that money doesn’t grow on trees. Someone has to work to fund the endless desires of children.

Unfortunately, Americans have been reduced to a collective group of children with an endless list of wants. But our politicians refuse to tell Americans that money doesn’t grow on trees and someone actually has to work to fund everything the collective American heart desires. What’s even more unfortunate is that the real children of America will grow up and have to pay for the wants and desires of their parents and grand parents. How ironic is that?

Case in point, the Omni-pork bill just passed the Senate and is on it’s way to President Obama’s desk. The Child in Chief has already signaled his intention to sign this massive spending bill. He’s blaming it all on Bush. How convenient. I’d love to say no Republicans voted for the bill, but I’d be lying.

2012 can’t come fast enough. I’m a big fan of Bobby Jindal, but he is really young and has quite a few years ahead of him. Ditto for Sarah Palin. Mike Huckabee’s just a little too populist and hokey for my taste. That leaves Mitt Romney. Is he perfect? Nope! Who is? We don’t need a fake Messiah who needs to grow up. We need someone who understands the economy and will, well, act like a grown up.

“2012 can’t come fast enough.” – You got that right!

If there is any hope left for tje late, gtear USA, Romney may be it. But it may be too late by that time. It is no coincidence that ACORN and the unions are getting so rich at our expence. Also remember that in 2012 there will be more people in this country getting tax money from the feds than paying into it. Little question hoe they will be voting.

Out of curiosity, have you considered Ron Paul?

  4. I like Ron Paul but he wouldn’t stand a chance. The media ignored him completely.

  5. Mitt Romney understands like Ronald Reagan understood.

When all the people take all their money and give it to the governing body and that governing body then in turn spends all that money providing everything for all the people – does not equal America.

Does equal communism. And a commune by structure doesn’t become more or less acceptable by virtue of the content in it’s message. It’s still a crazy cult thing and it’s followers are often brainwashed. Although they will never be able to see it, and their messiah will often lead them, straight into their death.
