Surprise! The world still isn’t that into us!

Just Google “Obama Protectionism” and you’ll find hundreds of stories. Most of them have titles like “Canada warns US over protectionism contagion” and “EU Anger over Obama’s ‘Buy American Move’“. (Looks like we learned nothing from Smoot Hawley.)
Even if the Democrats weren’t trying their best to return us to the 1930’s, the world still isn’t that into us.
AlQaeda still hates us. Pakistanis’s were a bit miffed after President Obama ordered airstrikes on two of their villages. North Korea has decided to stop honoring accords with South Korea and may take “dramatic action” to get the President’s attention.
As icing on the hopeandchange foreign affairs cake, Iran launched a satellite that could become an ICBM.
In all fairness to our new President, I don’t believe Iran hates us any more than they did on January 19, but is there a possibility they’re a little less afraid of us now? Just asking.

Got news for Obama–as long as we retain any shred of Americanism, the world is NEVER going to be into us. As Europeans have said to my face while I visited their countries and spend my pounds and Euros )on inferior service and products) “The problem with you Americans is you just think you can do anything.”
DUH. It’s why we all left “there” and came “here”.
If that’s the criteria in their hearts, I’m happy to remain disliked. I’m giggling at the worldwide ogasm fading into good old American dislike….
