Kicking the Can on the Automakers

The Democrats decided not to do anything for the Big Three automakers for the time being. Nancy Pelosi, trying to sound tough, said the auto companies need to show a plan before the big bad democrats will show them the money. Harry Reid was even more eloquent when he said they were kicking the can down the road to buy some time. Read full story at Townhall.com.
With any luck their little trick will backfire and the companies will be forced for go into Chapter 11 before Congress can “show them the money.” They will then be able to renegotiate contracts and reorganize and perhaps come out stronger in the long run.

I hope so. I truly believe that bankruptcy is the solution for these companies.

Will everybody who believes that Pelosi and Reid are concerned with the good of the auto industry and the best thing for our country please stand. I have sme ocean-front property in Kansas for you at a real good deal.
