An ABC News producer was investigating the role of lobbyists and top donors at the convention. He was outside a Denver hotel, standing on a sidewalk trying to obtain pictures of Democrats and their big donors leaving a private meeting.

A cigar-smoking Denver police sergeant, accompanied by a team of five other officers, first put his hands on Eslocker’s neck, then twisted the producers arm behind him to put on handcuffs.

A police official later told lawyers for ABC News that Eslocker is being charged with trespass, interference, and failure to follow a lawful order. He also said the arrest followed a signed complaint from the Brown Palace Hotel.

The article goes on to describe how the officer pushed the producer into oncoming traffic in the street. All this for someone taking pictures? Do these people think we’re all idiots? Come on! Why would a hotel care if a reporter is on the sidewalk? If anything, it’s good publicity.

 Don’t criticize or investigate the Democrats or their new Messiah. It could land you in jail.
